How often should I replace my mattress?
Every 7–10 years for most mattresses. Replace sooner if you notice visible sagging, wake up with back pain, or consistently sleep better elsewhere.
Do I need a box spring?
A solid slatted frame (slats no more than 6cm apart) is sufficient for modern mattresses. Never place memory foam or hybrid mattresses directly on the floor — they need airflow.
